If you are among the many people considering a gift to your favorite charity we hope you’ll remember the work of RSVP. You can choose a specific RSVP service, such as Volunteer Management for Emergencies, Transportation Program, overall mission, or contribute directly to RSVP’s Endowment. Whether you consider a gift to support RSVP today or a legacy gift (life insurance, estate, will, etc.) for tomorrow, your contribution will make a lasting impact on those served by RSVP now and in the future.

Central Iowa RSVP Endowment Fund
A great giver in life, R. Ann Herriott was an active RSVP volunteer for 9 years and a committed RSVP Advisory Council member from 2000 to 2003. As an RSVP volunteer, Ann served over 500 hours assisting 8 different agencies in need of her help. As an RSVP Advisory Council member, Ann not only served as Chair of the Council, but also helped plan and assist with multiple recognition and fund-raising events.
Sadly, Ann passed away in October, 2008. It is with deep respect and gratitude that Central Iowa RSVP acknowledges Ann for the financial bequest she left to RSVP in her death. We are privileged that we had an opportunity to get to know Ann, and that she chose to recognize RSVP for the role that it played in her retirement.
As a tribute to Ann's generosity and in her memory, RSVP applied her gift to start the Central Iowa RSVP Endowment Fund through the Story County Community Foundation. We know that in this way, Ann's generosity will continue to provide a lasting legacy.
For information on how you can help Ann Herriotts gift to RSVP grow, or make a donation to RSVP, please contact Kalen Petersen, Central Iowa RSVP Director.
