Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is looking for men who are knowledgeable about building to do pick-ups and deliveries (truck provided), and ladies who can help in the Re-Store, helping customers, dusting, filing, light paper work, can be trained on cash register. Habitat for Humanity tries to do at least one home build every two years in Webster County, but has the Re-Store open year around. Volunteers are free to set hours and days of the week.

YSC
Youth Shelter Care of Fort Dodge is seeking volunteers who would meet with the young people in the shelter and do a movie night or a craft. There is also a Christmas party sponsored by the National Guard, and volunteers are needed to help with that event. Volunteer would first need to be fingerprinted and undergo a background check. Helpers are needed in the process of making paper to be sold to the public.Donated paper is shredded and recycled into beautiful cards and other paper items.
SPEAK UP! Leaders
SpeakUp! is an 8-week curriculum, which teaches
5th graders how to give a speech, as well as other speaking skills. Volunteers will be trained and provided with all necessary materials to lead the classes.
