            Deliver books to nursing homes and shut-ins in Fort Dodge

The Lord’s Cupboard

Help facilitate the food pantry. Pantry is open Tuesdays 9:30-11:30 and 4-6pm, Thursdays 9:30-11:30. Located at 127 N. 10th St., Fort Dodge

Youth Shelter Care

Play games, do a movie night, do a craft, do some baking, done with a group, as often as you choose. Located at 301 Ave. M West, Fort Dodge.

Habitat for Humanity—ReStore

            Need people knowledgeable about building to do pick up and delivery of materials

Need people to help in the ReStore, dusting, helping customers, filing, paperwork,

can be trained for cash register

The Key on Central

The Key on Central is a thrift store which supports the Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center in Fort Dodge. Volunteers are needed to sort and fold donated items, dust and vacuum, set up displays, and carry boxes and bags.

 Elderbridge

Errand Buddies may assist with day-to-day activities such as: shopping, meal planning, driving to appointments, post office, visiting friends, social events , celebrations, funerals, church services, events at local senior center, and meal outings.

Medical Transportation Drivers provide transportation to medical appointments.

Telephone Reassurance Callers provide friendship and companionship as well as checking on the well-being of participants.

Fort Dodge Villa Care Center

Villa Care is seeking volunteers to help with Bingo on Tuesday afternoons, manicures on Monday afternoons and with Spades card games on Tuesday mornings.

Village General Store—Opportunity Village

            Sort incoming donations, stock shelves, run cash register

Marion Home

            Read to residents, play card games, help with activities.

BASE Senior Fitness

            Exercise leaders are needed to lead senior fitness classes.

Training is provided by RSVP.

Pen Pals

            Pen pals write to young students once a month throughout the school year
